Discovering Alternatives for Today's Encounters
Project D.A.T.E. is a rape and sexual assault awareness and prevention program comprised of specially trained students. Our mission is to spread knowledge and awareness about rape and sexual assault. Our goal is to prevent sexual assault by means of education. Educational presentations are provided by Peer Educators who are students enrolled at California State University, Northridge. Presentations are provided on campus and in the community and our Peer Educators respect diversity on all levels and promote acceptance of others.
Project D.A.T.E. aims to raise awareness and expose misconceptions about rape and sexual assault with the expectation of ultimately deconstructing the negative forces that re-victimize survivors of sexual violence. We believe that the most effective tool in creating social change on campus is to continue educating students about the realities of sexual assault.
Knowledge is power.
